Up to a few months ago, our response was often that the relay was obsolete or that spare parts were no longer available. We would typically try to sell the customer on a new relay with the most modern control and protection features.The problem comes in the cost to install the new relay in the customer's equipment.  Often, the costs to install a relay with different dimensions and connection points is more than the relay itself.The launch of the Relion 615 Series and the design of the Pre-Configured Matching Unit (PCMU) opens the possibility to offer customers a product that provides quick and virtually risk-free replacement of legacy relays with state-of-the art microprocessor technology.
